Food was great and it was packed on a Saturday. I thought the place was nice, but not worth a second trip. I like the temaki sets, but next time, I would just order the crispy rice chips and dip. That had the most flavor. Dessert is a little underwhelming. After dinner, I went to get ice cream someplace else since it wasn't on the menu.

Solid plant based temaki experience. Attentive service. Interior ambiance is relaxed. I would probably skip the soup but the fries were good. Obviously the star of the show was getting the 5 piece temaki course which slightly expensive but very well though out and unique. Each piece had a very different flavor profile starting with avocado toast down to black sesame seed paste cucumber!

Solid option, welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Stopped here for dinner before a show and had a corner booth near the kitchen. Mix of counter (2) and table seating. Clean and crisp space. Bright and airy. Didn't love the disposable chopsticks and napkin vibe.. Also didn't prefer the individually wrapped rolls would rather not have to work for the meal ingredients falling out for my husband The restaurant filled up pretty quick let between 5-6PM. Recommended to order 5 hand rolls for a meal. I went for 4 along with our appetizers and felt plenty full. I ordered the: XOs Scallop (5/5) great balance of textures and flavor Spicy Lobster (4/5) good but not my fave Spicy tuna (5/5) yum! Loved the freshness of the jalapeño Toro scallion (5/5) simple and delicious All were super fresh and filling. My husband got some of the same plus the crispy crab, and uni both were great. Appetizer wise we got Ocean trout shashimi (4/5) thicker pieces of fish which might not be for everyone, flavor was good, could've eaten more haha the tempura misto (5/5) heavy on the breading but a good mix of veg and seafood with a side of spicy mayo We had time to kill and a bottle of wine to finish so we added the furikake fries which were decent but definitely put me over the top filling wise haha

Loved everything about this place! The Mushroom dip was a great start to the meal, and every piece in the signature temaki sets we ordered tasted as good as it looked. We ordered a couple of extra temaki including the Spicy Crab dynamite and Spicy Lobster and they were both phenomenal. Service was friendly and on point. Will be back to try the rest of the menu!

This is such a cute date spot! I made a reservation on a Saturday night and I'm very happy I did. This place filled up pretty quickly during the course of dinner. We sat at the bar and I was pleasantly surprised that I wasnt shoulder to shoulder with my neighbor. I loved the appetizers, we got the spicy tuna dip, furikake fries and the caviar tasting. Everything was delicious and the tuna was pretty fresh! I really enjoyed the homemade chips. The handrolls were also good. I got the ikura, toro, scallop, red crab and sweet potato tempura. Everything was fresh, the ikura did fall apart on me, but i still enjoyed it very much. There arent many handroll spots in NJ so I'd definitely check it out. It was a little on the pricier side but the vibes were great, its also BYOB

Came with a friend on a late Saturday night and was seated promptly after a 25 minute wait. We ordered quickly as we were starving. We both agreed we would definitely be back to try the other food options as we enjoyed our hand rolls so much. The crisp seaweed was a delight and a great touch. Since it was a chilly night, the clam miso soup really hit the spot and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it! Will definitely return and glad to see Nami Nori in NJ.

A may be a little biased since a dear friend works here, but their Signaure Tamaki was a great introduction to this style of Japanese cuisine. Tables get packed fast so make sure you make your reservation on time, and take into account Montclair parking lol. Beginning the night with their sashimi and crudo was the right call, much respect to our waitress Thank you Andru for the caviar to top the night off, proud of you bud!

What a fun experience! Great ambiance. Delicious, creative food. Friendly servers. I enjoyed the vegan set of temaki. Would order again: Avocado toast (my favorite), sweet potato (loved it), eggplant (liked it) Would not care to order again: tofu (not a fan of tofu), black sesame (sauce way too salty)

The moment I stepped into Nami Nori, I was impressed by the gorgeous interior. The windows along the walls allowed for natural sunlight to light up the restaurant, and the minimalist, modern furniture and table settings complemented the warm lighting and made for a clean, open look. Our server was very helpful and welcoming. He provided recommendations and even shared his personal favorites. I ordered the signature set (tuna poke, x.o. scallop, coconut shrimp, salmon serrano, and cucumber black sesame). Each temaki was beautifully garnished and packed w/ flavor. They were all so delicious, but my favorites were the tuna poke, x.o. scallop, and salmon serrano. If you're willing to pay the extra money for the cool experience and meal, I definitely recommend.
